SYLP Impact Report

Introduction

Designed for students in middle and high school, Siegfried Youth Leadership Program® is charting a new course on how to empower young people to be leaders in their own lives, regardless of their backgrounds or aspirations.

In all its initiatives and efforts, SYLP is guided by its higher purpose, which is to help young people transform themselves into better individual leaders to enrich their lives and inspire positive change in their communities!

Creating Opportunities

  • Multi-School Events

The original SYLP experience continues to excite and energize participants. Through its multi-school events, SYLP brings together hundreds of students for an inspiring half-day session at an off-campus location, historically a local college or university. Students engage in reflective activities, meet and connect with new peers, and learn from a compelling guest speaker, all while embracing the leadership concepts that define SYLP.

  • In-School Sessions

SYLP also meets students where they are: in the classroom. Through in-school sessions, SYLP inspires students to become better leaders with quick, fun presentations, workshops, and activities delivered by members of the Siegfried team. These sessions are a great way to introduce the concepts of SYLP as well as to increase the impact of the experience following a multi-school session.

  • Summer Camp

SYLP Summer Camp offers students a fully immersive, week-long program on the campus of University of Delaware to explore economics, personal finance, leadership, and more. During the day, Delaware-area high school students attend lectures and sessions led by accomplished professors, authors, entrepreneurs, Siegfried professionals, and more. In the evenings, the group enjoys fun summer activities, such as baseball games, team-building events, inside looks at local businesses, and more!

  • Moving Forward

    SYLP’s path to continued impact

The transformative power of SYLP is exponential, and we look forward to a thoughtful, intentional expansion of the program, both in location and in delivery. Our collaborative partners will continue to play a significant role in introducing SYLP to interested teachers and students who reside in or around one of Siegfried’s nationwide locations.

As SYLP continues growing, our mission remains the same: to help young people transform themselves into better individual leaders to enrich their lives and inspire positive change in their communities!

Testimonial

“As a high school teacher and advisor, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful leadership training for students can be when done in a way that speaks to everyone and focuses on becoming a leader from the inside out. It’s just one of the reasons I find SYLP so uniquely powerful.”

Thank You

Like any meaningful program, SYLP takes a village. Our success to date is the result of a fruitful collaboration between interested parties of the years. We are grateful to all those who have made SYLP what it is today and what it will be in the future, with special thanks to Rob and Kathy Siegfried, as well as The Siegfried Group, LLP.
